GLITZ AND GLAMOUR AT OBA ROTIMI MULERO’S 1ST CORONATION ANNIVERSARY GRAND FINALE

On Friday, 4th day of August, 2023 was the 8th day and Grand finale of the scheduled 1st Coronation anniversary of the 14th Aboro of Ibese Land, the glorifying day which all sons and daughters of Ibese Land experienced a tremendous turnaround in the history of their land.

It was remarkably wowing as top Government officials, highly revered Royal fathers, Captains of industry, Community leaders; Religious leaders; Political leaders, Market men and women, Clubs and various Organizations within Ogun State and beyond all trooped out in their thousands to converge at Asakanran Grammar School, Ibese, to celebrate with His Royal Majesty, Alayeluwa Oba Rotimi Oluseyi Mulero, Ilufemiloba Olokojobi III, the Aboro of Ibese Land on his One Year Coronation anniversary and conferment of Chieftaincy titles.

The convergence which was massively attended colourfully as confirmed by all the indigenous people of Ibese, Yewa Land was said to have been the first of it’s kind in the land to have had the presence of very important personalities such as; Ogun State Governor, H.E Prince Dr. Dapo Abiodun – MFR, CON who was ably represented by the Deputy Governor, H.E Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele; former Governor of Ogun State, H.E Aremo Olusegun Osoba, CFR, who is the Araba of Yewaland, H.R.M. Oba Kehinde Gbadewole Olugbenle, MFR, the Olu of Ilaro and Paramount Ruler of Yewa Land, and top officials from Dangote Group.

Also in attendance was Alh. Salimot M. Badru, the Former Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Alh. Chief Mrs. Khadijat Adebisi Elegbede Edionseri, the Iya Sunna of Ogun State, Mr Tokunbo Talabi, the Secretary To Ogun State Government, Brig. General Femi Dada, Hon. Jagunmolu Akande Omoniyi FCA., Hon. Hon. Adegoke Awoso B’sc, IION, Member, OGHA, Yewa North 1, Hon. Gabriel Ogunyomi, the Executive Chairman, Yewa North Local Government.

The newly installed Chiefs include a two time former Speaker of Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Suraj-udeen Adekunbi and his beautiful wife, Chief Mrs. Oluwaseun Adekunbi whom were formally installed as the Mayegun and Yeye Mayegun of Ibese Land. Others include a business merchant; Chief Dauda Olabimtan, the CEO of Inasua Hotels who was installed as the Amuludun of Ibese Land and also a retired Senior Police Officer, Chief Faremi Amos JP, who bagged Akogun of Ibese Land title, including Chief Femi Falade as Bobagunwa of Ibese land, also in the list was a prominent elderstateman Chief Sulaimon Oladitan who was decorated as Araba of Ibese Land and Chief Adeniyi Idowu as Akeweje of Ibese Land.

In her address at the occasion, the Deputy Governor of Ogun State described Oba Rotimi Mulero as a true representation of royalty that has continued to contribute towards the success of the incumbent administration in the State. Engr. Noimot Salako then on behalf of Governor Dapo Abiodun and the entire government of Ogun State congratulated and commended all the sons and daughters of Ibese Land for supporting their King and ensuring he succeeds in his mission to take Ibese Land to greater heights, she further urged them to continue supporting developmental strides and progress of Ibese land and Ogun State as a whole.

In his Royal address, Oba Rotimi once again appreciated the Dapo Abiodun led administration of Ogun State government for approving his ascension to the throne on the 28th of July, 2022, while also using the opportunity of the occasion to appeal to the government at all levels for possible solutions to the challenges facing the people Ibese land, the statement which reads as follows; “I want to appeal to our government at all levels, most especially our dear friendly and listening Governor His Excellency, Prince Dr. Dapo Abiodun and all relevant stakeholders to as a matter of urgency come to our aide by providing us with drinkable water that has been a serious challenge battling our people for decades and as we all know that the importance of water to human life is one that can not be underestimated”

“Although epileptic power supply in Nigeria may be a national concern, but here in Ibese and other parts of Yewa land, power outage has reached a worrisome state of emergency. Life without electricity has further thrown our societies into the stones ages of primitiveness. We strongly appeal to the government and God inspired corporate bodies and individuals to please come to our aides in this regard.”

Oba Rotimi Mulero then concluded by appreciating wholeheartedly on behalf of his beautiful Queen; Her Royal Highness, Olori Omolola Mulero, the entire Mulero Olokojobi Royal Family of Ibese land and the Aboro Ibese-in-Council, each and everyone present at the event for showering him and the good people of Ibese Land the honour of attending the 1st Coronation anniversary on the throne of his forefathers, most especially the Traditional Rulers from across Ogun State and beyond amongst which are (in no particular order); Kabiesi Olofin of Isheri kingdom and Adimula of Awori Kingdoms; Kabiesi Ebi Dena Kingdom; Kabiesi Oloja Ekun of Igbesa Kingdom; Kabiesi Eselu of Iselu Kingdom; Kabiesi Olota of Otta-Awori Kingdom; Kabiesi Oniwoye of Iwoye Kingdom; Kabiesi Adokun of Igan Okoto Land; Kabiesi Onigboko of Igboko-Awori Land; Kabiesi Olu of Imasayi Land, Kabiesi Olu Of Idi-Oke Awori Land, Kabiesi Onipokia of IPokia, Kabiesi Olu of Itori Ẹgba Land, Kabiesi Alaye of Ayetoro Land, Kabiesi Aboro of Iboro Land and other revered Royal fathers present at the event.

Many of the people who attended the glamorous event testified that they were quite impressed and elated at the level of transformation and progress Ibese Land is now experiencing since the beginning of Oba Rotimi’s reign in the last One Year. It was a full-filled event as the Fuji maestro himself Alhaji Wasiu Ayinde Marshall (K1 Dé Ultimate), the Mayegun of Yoruba Land and Olori Omooba Akile Ijebu was also caught in high spirit of dancing mood as usual while he dazzled the Kabiesis and audience with a scintillating music performance alongside Agaga music and Abbey Simon (Choice Band)

The 10 days event was rounded up with the 9th day on Saturday 5th of August, 2023, as the Youth after-party and Special Thanksgiving Service on Sunday 6th of August, 2023, as the final day held at the Holy Trinity African Church, Ibese.
