…Graces Annual Obalaju Festival at Joga-Orile Kingdom
Earlier today, the highly revered Royal Father, His Majesty, Alayeluwa Oba Rotimi Oluseyi Mulero, Arole Asakanran, Olokojobi III — the Aboro and Natural Prescribed Authority over Ibese Land and its environs — formally installed Chief Adewale Banmeke Oke as the Baale of Abule Oke-Ibese Village.
Chief Adewale Banmeke is a direct descendant of Oke, the legendary hunter who migrated from Ojú Asakanran Compound, Ibese, during a hunting expedition to establish Oko Oke — now known as Abule Oke-Ibese — as an extension of Ibese Land.
His Majesty, in his magnanimity and visionary leadership, took this bold and decisive step to preserve the heritage of Ibese Land and further strengthen the traditional authority of the Aboro throne over its domain. This historic act reaffirms his unwavering commitment to the unity, peace, and prosperity of Ibese Land and its people, both now and for generations to come.
This landmark installation, though long overdue, further reinforced the age-long authority of the Aboro of Ibese over Abule Oke-Ibese up to Abule Maria-Ibese, where the natural boundary (Iniya Stream) separating Ibese from Ibooro/Imasayi communities is situated — a boundary historically recognized and passed down through generations. This act once again showcases Kabiyesi’s dedication to the preservation of Ibese’s ancestral legacy.
In his royal address, Kabiyesi admonished residents — who trooped out in their numbers to welcome him and his entourage — to remain peace-loving, united, and law-abiding. The community, in turn, offered heartfelt prayers for Kabiyesi’s reign to continue to be a beacon of justice, wisdom, and development.
Later in the day, His Majesty graced the Annual Obalaju Festival of Joga-Orile Kingdom as a distinguished Royal guest of HRM, Oba (Dr.) Adeyemi Adekeye, the Abepa of Joga-Orile. Kabiyesi Oba Mulero extended warm Royal blessings and prayers for the Abepa’s long, peaceful, and prosperous reign on the revered throne of his forefathers. And also wishing the good people of Joga-Orile a happy celebration.
Among the notable dignitaries and community leaders who accompanied His Majesty were: High-Chief Tajudeen Adewuyi, Somofe of Ibese Land, High-Chief Solomon Durojaiye, Agbaakin of Ibese Land, Chief Sulaimon Oladitan, Araba of Ibese Land.
Also in the royal entourage were: Chief Rahmon Adenle (Baale Araromi Abule Egba-Ibese), Baale Adebayo Oniyide (Balogun-Ibese), Chief Femi Salako (Baale Isale Erinpa Atola-Ibese), Chief Akinlotan Kolawole (Baale Araromi Ilewo-Ibese), Chief Kolapo Odunfa (Baale Bomun-Ibese), Baale Abdulsalam Gbolahan (Baale Ikemo-Ibese), Chief John Olusanya (Baale Igboolomi-Ibese), High-Prince Adefemi Mulero, High-Prince Ibukun Mulero, and several other respected community leaders.
